Social cognition

Crowd behaviour challenges our fundamental understanding of social phenomena. Involving complex interactions between multiple organizational levels and spanning a variety of temporal and spatial scales of activity, its governing mechanisms defy conventional analysis.

This research line is focused on the dynamics of global collective phenomena in large-scale digitally connected human groups, with an emphasis in defining how collective agency is constituted and what general mechanisms operate underlying it.
